↘ The brief
NYU Cobble Hill Hospital is a modern healthcare facility in Brooklyn, New York, designed by Perkins Eastman. The project features a high-performance curtain wall façade designed to meet the demanding performance, constructability, and durability requirements of a contemporary medical campus.
As part of the Island Exterior Fabricators team, the role supported the project from design through construction, managing façade design development, engineering coordination, fabrication, and installation while serving as the primary technical liaison between the project team, architect, and client.
↘ The approach
Responsibilities included leading façade design development, coordinating engineering and detailing teams, managing shop drawings, structural and thermal calculations, material submittals, LEED documentation, fabrication coordination, RFIs, change orders, and installation support. The work focused on maintaining design intent while coordinating technical solutions across the design, fabrication, and construction phases.
↘ The outcome
The project progressed successfully through design, fabrication, and installation with coordinated façade engineering and project management. Through multidisciplinary coordination, technical leadership, and proactive issue resolution, the work helped streamline communication, support efficient project delivery, and ensure successful execution of the curtain wall façade.
